Help with the Tinney family please
« on: Saturday 02 April 16 06:44 BST (UK) »
Peter Tinney born 1770 (c) Stoke Dameral Devon and Sally Honey (c) born 1784 Buckland, Devon, were my Grandparents x 4.   Have been researching this generation for years finding a load of children plus baptisms am not 100 % sure if they belong to Peter and Sally.  Unable to travel to Devon to look at records so hoping someone could help.

Peter and Sally married in 1802 Stoke Dameral, they could of had 11 children:

Sally born 1804
Betsy Honey born 1806
Mary Ann born 1808, ? died before 1817
William Honey born 1811
John born 1813, died that year
John Honey Winniccott born 1814
James Henry Honey born 1815
Mary Ann born 1817
Ann Winniccott born 1821
Peter born 1823 (my Grandfather x 3)
Harriet born 1827.
All have the surname Tinney.

The last 2 Peter and Harriet I know quite alot about though the census FreeBMD and certificates.
Sally I believe married a John Thomas.
John Honey Winniccott married to Flora Beaton.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you DOB7 and KGarrad for looking. At least you have confirmed that the children's parents are Sally and Peter.

Hi
Looking at the christening at the Methodist church it does say he was a labourer.
Which matches the marriage which gives him as a labourer at the dockyard.
wit John Roberts and John Honey

Burial for Peter Tinney
Peter Tinney Tamar St  1.5.1833 age 60 Stoke Dameral
Sally Tinney 54 Gloucester St  age 79 died 22.3.1863 buried 30th

The only baptism I can see for Peter in Devon is at Lifton
Peter Tinney 25.4.1775 s of William and Hannah

Sally Honey east Worlington 29.3.1785 d of William
