Hi Sinann, heywood, dathai & hasta

SO, after a lot of searching and with lots of help a marriage registration was found today, in records here in Canada, that CONFIRMS my Anne Moorhead is the daughter of this Alexander Moorhead (National Teacher) and wife Ellen Kingston... my hunch was right  ;D  and I now have the proof

I wanted to thank you all for the great information you dug up on Alexander, his locations, his career, his death and on the entire Moorhead family (3 wives) etc.

I am now going to move to the Co. Longford board and see what anybody might be able to help dig up on Alexander's birth (parents siblings). And the Co. Cork Board to work on Ellen Kingston's parents.

A huge thanks guys :-*

That's a great find hasta and a super result for you LUV!

Sinann, on my iPad I make the whole page small as you say, so that I can see it all and then make it bigger and it will slide to the one we want.

I do make it small but for some reason when I try to make it bigger where I need it, it just keeps going back to the top, I'm probably not doing it right. I'll have to practice. At least now I know it can be done, Thanks.

I have been researching Alexander Moorhead for 3 years. I found your information yesterday and to my surprise almost all of my information was correct. Your attached documents clarified many dates. I do know something about Anne Moorhead's family that came to Canada. Her brother John W Moorhead came before her. I think you have a lot of very pertinent information regarding Alexander's line and it may not be possible to go before 1800. I will write again soon but I think the collaboration you have experienced is just wonderful. Thank you to all who have participated!

thanks Hallmark!

I did check a secondary conversation but I noticed that nothing else has been posted by Luv since Oct 2016. I am not sure if she will see what I have added.

The secondary conversation does contain other information. Robert Moorhead, brother of Alexander (1859) did experience a similar unfortunate family situation. Both brothers appear to have lost their wives and had children. What seems very positive is that they did all come together to help. In the 1901 census, it appears that one of Robert's sons is with his mother in Co. Longford and the other is with his uncle in Co. Cork.

I am puzzled by something though. Alexander's children John W , Anne and William all went to Canada in the 1920's. Would you know how I could find out what happened to James Alexander?

I would appreciate any help.
