James L Duffy RGA born Donegal Ireland

Hi I'm trying to find out where I can get war records of my Uncle James L Duffy from Donegal Ireland   He was a gunner in the Royal garrison artillery he fought in Ww1 any info or directions would be much appreciated
He fought and died 29 th November 1944 in Ypres  salient  battle field  Belgium

You say that James fought in WW1 then say he died 29 November 1944 in Ypres?  Can you check your information, I'm struggling to find him.

So sorry.   Try James l Gallagher died 20th  Nov 1914

There was a J Gallagher died on that date, the "Son of Myles and Ellen Gallagher, of Gortnalake, Creeslough, Co. Donegal.". He was in the Royal Dublin Fusiliers, not the RGA.

Given that the title of your topic and content of your original post gave the wrong name, the wrong regiment, and the wrong date of death, I think you need to review things and be very clear before proceeding, just to avoid nugatory effort. Just MHO... :)

Thank you so much you have made a family very happy to have found their loved one I do sincerely apologise for these silly mistakes
I will endeavour to be more vigilant in my searches in future
