Hi there,

Looking for the baptisms of my ancestors Patrick McCabe born c. 1839 in County Monaghan (1891 Census) ... son of Sylvester McCabe.

Also, his wife, Alice McClusky, born c. 1841 in County Monaghan (1891 Census) ... daughter of Thomas McClusky.

Would someone be able to help?

Ah heck, you've a good memory!  I had forgotten about that link.

I have looked online at the newly released RC records but not been very succesful.  I'm wondering if anyone else could have a look just to make sure I haven't missed them (both McCabe and McClusky).

A Mary Ann McCabe of New York City was adopted from New York Children's Home there by Sarah Harrison Harrison and her husband John Harrison of Smithville, Chenango County, New York.  Both Sarah and John had been born in County Monaghan and were first cousins of each other.  Mary Ann McCabe was born in March 1856.  She took the name Harrison and married a Pease.  My guess is her biological parents were recent immigrants to the state of New York.

Also adopted was Charles Kamineski.
