Marriage: 5 May 1888 Manhattan
Robert Moorhead, 27, single, born Co. Longford, parents John Moorhead & Ann Anderson
Maary Jane Burns, 29, single, born Co.Longford, parents Joseph Burns & Margaret Bloomer

So, the 1911 entry for John Moorhead 'nephew' fits BUT look at the names given for his parents!

Morning all
Once again I am behind the time (but in my defense I am behind the time literally)
Thank you all  :o
I am trying to digest and 'compartmentalize'  all this great information trying to see now where we are at.

No reason to start a new topic- there's lots of information already posted on the on e you started two days ago

Sorry if this was not the right way to do it  :-\ I started the new topic aghadowey as I was told many, many postings ago on another board that when the focus of the research changes make sure you post it in the appropriate board.  Since the post two days ago, I can now prove I have the right ALEXANDER and so I don't need to try and track his every moment through Ireland as a Teacher looking for links to his daughter. I want to move backwards for the time being and look for his parents.

Interesting... one of the 1901 census return families was still in Drumeel in 1911 and I'm leaning more towards it (though the 1901 census return with the Kenny family Moorehead mother-in-law is probably still related):

I think you found them aghadowey  :o
I had started to follow nephew John J who was with Alexander and family on the 1901 Census but I did not want to go too far down the 'rabbit hole' until I knew I had the right family!
Thank you for following him and that lead through to the end !
Father Robert's marriage in New York gives the parents and with what gaffy supplied ... the parents of my Alexander too!

Thank you guys :)

Absolutely!
I have NEVER had so much luck searching an ancestor in Ireland EVER.
Most had immigrated in the 1840's during the Potato Famine - no trace there and little to follow here - so actually finding this group and will all these records!
