I think Arthur Crawford (the younger) was born in Lambeth and he was in the Fire Brigade and was based at Brigade Headquarters Gresham Road Brixton. I did have an earlier thread relating to his marriage but did not realise I could have added this to that thread :( Still a newbie at this !  ???

Hi ok then I believe he was at sometime in Battersea b 17th April 1894 and married.

You are correct in saying I would purchase Arthur CRAWFORD s marriage certificate and I didnt forget. I got it through GRO. I would like to share the details if you are amenable to furthering my search.

 :) That is the most important document, please supply us with details of both fathers' and occupations/ residence at time of marriage/witnesses, in fact anything that could assist!

Between Arthur CRAWFORD & Florence Ellen RICHARDSON

Arthur Crawford (the younger) 21 years of age, a Fireman resident at Brigade Fire station, Gresham Road, Brixton, SW9. His father was Arthur Crawford listed as an auctioneer.

Florence Ellen Richardson, packer at cake factory. Resident at 219 Ellerslie Road, Brixton ( not now on google maps)  father was Charles Richardson listed as a bricklayer.

Witnesses were James ADKINS m WIDLAKE
Ada Elizabeth ADKINS m BUSH (also lived at 21 Dalyell road in 1956)

copy is virtually unreadable, hope all this helps :) please let me know if there is any other info you need that I might have. ps all children Kate Iris Gladys lived at this address at some time :)
