They had one daughter Sarah Jane in Aus in Victoria Mortlake B:1867.

Do you have a copy of that birth registration?

What to expect on a Vic BDM birth registration :

I can see a birth registered in 1868 a Sarah Jane with parents as Michael and Catharine O'REILLY (noting the O' prefix)
OREILLY   Sarah Jane
father Michael
mother Catharine MacDONNELL
Reference No. 4441

.......a tree for this family. On Sarah's birth details, it states that Michael and Catherine were married in 1847 in Kilcommon parish.......

There's a tree online with Sarah's Vic BDM birth as a miniature in Sarah's profile.

It is hard to decipher, but I think it has Sarah's birth place (Hexham West? very difficult to read) recorded under the date of birth.  Mortlake is where the birth was registered.   The informant was Mich O'REILLY, father.  Sarah was born 29 Nov 1867, birth registered in 1868.

So the information about Sarah's parents was provided by her own father.   I think the info given includes:
Michael O'REILLY was married in August 1847 to Catharine MacDonnell, at Kilcommon, Ireland.
Michael O'REILLY, born Co Mayo, Ireland, was a farmer aged 44 years when registering Sarah's 1867 birth. He gave that his wife was Catharine O'REILLY formerly Macdonnell, aged 40 years, born Co Mayo Ireland.  He signed the register 1 Feb 1868.

Michael O'REILLY's signature (first column, right hand side) shows he was living at Ballangeich when registering Sarah's birth  :)  I wonder if that is a locality name chosen by the O'Reilly family and perhaps it gives a pointer to their Irish origins....

I have all this info. Ballyngeich historical society did a search for me and came up empty.
My family tree and all the info is on "Ancestry.com.au" I have a couple of trees running simultaneously. Reilly branch and every branch Reilly are the main ones. I am also in Findmypast which unfortunately is pretty useless.
I have attached the birth cert for Sarah Jane. and James Reilly's (my G/G grandfather's death cert.

James 10, child, Irish
Mary 9, child, Irish
Margt, 7 child, Irish
Bridg, 5, child, Irish
Cath, 5, child, Irish

I note the following were also on the same voyage, and I wonder if they were family members for Michael and Cath.

Thanks JM,
I have Ann, Mary and Thomas as Michaels siblings, however, no sources on this.

Hi Russ,
I think this is a clearer entry for baptism - (the same as yours but for some reason duplicated)
16 May 1852
http://registers.nli.ie/registers/vtls000632008#page/8/mode/1up

Margaret - the address looks to be Glebe Street - which you would assume is Ballinrobe and the sponsor Mary Ann Stanton.

I know the age is out but that is not unusual or the child may have died and they named a later child after her.
