Nurnold, Dorset

Has anyone heard of Nurnold, in Dorset, or any ideas what else it could be?

I've searched google in general, and google maps in Dorset, but can't see anything obvious, so I'm guessing it could be a transcription error 

I'm looking for info on Sarah, possibly Young, married to James Lord (born Stutton in Suffolk in 1807). The 1851 in Portsea, Hampshire, where Nurnold appears, has Stutton written and transcribed as Shitton on Ancestry . HO107 1658 127 9

James and Sarah were in Portsea in 1841 [HO107 piece 415 book 8 folio 5 page 4], neither born in county, with a Sarah Young aged 6 (hoping this may a relative of Sarah's to give me her maiden name, as there is a marriage in Portsmouth on 5 Dec 1831 of a James Lord to a Sarah Young).

But trying therefore to find Sarah's birth / baptism. Not my direct ancestor (James is a brother of my GGG grandfather) but just tying up loose ends.

I wonder if it (Nurnold) is some sort of mishearing of Marnhull ??

There are at least two YOUNG brothers in Portsea (Jo(a)b and Nehemiah) who seem to be the sons of Thomas and Grace of Marnhull. From the baptism records on A*try it looks like there's a Sarah but she's born 1804 so a little old to be Sarah LORD. (unless she's fibbing a bit ).

Can't find her following James' death in 1853 so no further info at the moment.

That was going to be my next question...I do see the death of James but where's Sarah?

Hi Maureen, it was why I was trying to find out about her birthplace as I only really have the 1851 to go on. Just to confuse things, her husband James had a sister called Sarah who married another James Lord (though at least they stayed in the Suffolk / Essex area).

The Lords were in Bishops Street in 1851 and were beerhouse keepers. There is this marriage which may be of interest :

Update ; Kate Seymour is a niece of Sarah Lord/Wheeler which might help.

Thanks both, not sure how I missed the 2nd marriage, and I thought I'd looked for Sarah in Bishops Street in 1861 

While not connected to her marriage, her birthplace has moved to Somerset!
