Hi all,
I am looking for Frederic Green on the 1851 Census and possibly other census until his death.
Frederic Green was listed on son Edward Green’s marriage certificate as Watchmaker.
Details:

1847 Married 23 August St Mary’s Redcliffe, Bristol Glouchester   Father: Henry James Green Spouse:  Ann  Clarke
1849  Bedminster, Somerset   Birth of son Albert Henry Green
1851 Axbridge Somerset  Birth of son Harris Edward Frederick Green
1851 Census: Wife Ann with baby & Frederic’s Parents Henry & Elizabeth  St Cuthbert’s Wells, Somerset  HO 107 1934 / 375
Son Albert Henry with Inlaws: Thomas & Jane Clark   New Church Road, Nailsea    HO107  1946 / 275

1855 Nailsea Somerset  Birth of son Augustus Green
1861 Census : Children with Grandmother & Uncles : Nailsea   RG09  1709 / 101

Any assistance to locate Frederic on 1851 census or Frederic & Ann 1861 census onwards would be appreciated.

Does it say whether he is deceased on his son's marriage certificate (and when and where was that?)

The marriage certificate does not mention deceased.  Edward's marriage was on 18 April 1869 in Shipley, Bradford, Yorkshire.

Frederic Green's brother Walter was at Church st Banwell in 1851 (HO 107  1936) and Pump St. Aberystruth, Monmouthshire in 1861  (RG 9 3997).

You have Augustus in the censuses as born in Nailsea Somerset, have you got his birth certificate as cannot see birth on free bmd?

There are some very peculiar family trees on Ancestry - which child (Edward?) are you related to, and do you know which went to Australia, or not, and when?

Any idea why Edward went to Bradford?

Thanks everyone for the help.

I don't have a birth certificate for Augustus.

The Edward that we are related to is Horace (Harris) Edward Frederick Green.  I don't know why he went to Shipley but his wife Betsy Slater's family are listed at the same residence in 1871 (RG 10/4500).

Edward & Betsy travelled to Australia on the "Northampton" on 12 Jan 1879.  Francis Walter (Edward's bother listed on census as Walter travelled on the same ship. see http://srwww.records.nsw.gov.au/ebook/list.asp?Page=NRS5316/4_4803/Northampton_12%20Jan%201879/4_480300053.jpg&No=4)

The information about Amelia Sabina is interesting.   Edward & Betsy had a daughter Amelia who died on the voyage out to Australia.  The had another daughter in Australia named "Amelia Sabrina".

The abode in America for Frederic & Ann has another interesting match.  I have no record of them going to America. However, on the Shipping record for Edward to Australia, it list Edward's son Edward (believed to be George Edward) as being born in America around 1875.

Could the America possibly mean anything else?  If it is America, is there a way to check travel to & from America for both Frederic & Ann as well as Edward & Betsy?
