« on: Thursday 14 April 16 05:27 BST (UK) »
I have found the marraige of the Rev Joseph Ball & Mary Colebatch at Upper Arley (Areley??) 27 August 1767 (The Rev is a widower)

and the batptism of one son Timothy Ball....(4th January 1769 Over Arley) (Worcestershire, England)

The Rev Joseph becomes the curate at Aveley, (Shropshire I think)

Is It possible that anyone can find any more details

ie  bapt of a son Theodore
     death for Joseph and Mary
any details of Timothy becoming a surgeon????

Thanks for the help!

So Timothy Ball was a surgeon in Southwark, Surrey and in the Navy!

Thanks for looking....

I am now assuming that Mary is deceased by the time of Jane's will...  but can't work why Jane is still Jane Colebatch a spinster on the will when she was married and had children with Benjamin Hatton?????

BUT, isn't the Jane who married Benjamin Hatton Jane BALL?  Jane COLEBATCH must be someone else  :-\

I may be reading it wrong but could Jane Colebatch spinster be a sister to Timothy Colebatch rather than a married relative.

She can't be Jane Ball married to Benjamin Hatton can she  ???

Looking at the extract from Cleobury Mortimer it looks like Jane who married Benjamin is referred to as daughter of Timothy, whereas Jane Colebatch is referred to as sister of Timothy.

But then why is Jane Hatton referred to as BALL, if her father is COLEBATCH?

Added:  Just re-read the Chronology file again - it is thought that Jane BALL is the daughter of Timothy BALL, son of Thomas Ball and Mary Colebatch.  Too many men called Timothy!!  :)

Thanks for looking.... I think it can confusing but

Mary marries Joseph Ball and have a son Timothy Ball.....  Timothy dies without children!
Jane her sister marries Benjamin Hatton....
They have  brothers  Rev Timothy, George and John

Their father Timothy (married to Mary) will bequeaths to George (married to Ann Haywood), Mary and Jane (both married) and son Timothy (not sure why that one as the Rev Timothy  is already deceased) but John is not mentioned as he is already deceased as well....

Timothy (died 1783) (married to Mary)  has sisters Mary & Jane and brother Thomas and John....  Their father is Timothy and mother Jane...

I re read the Chronological as Thomas Colebatch has the mortgage of his sister Mary Colebatch which is excused as Thomas dies before her....

Timy
Colebatch
ob. Dec 1782 +  sister Mary purchd the New House + sister Jane survived & by Will 9 Nov 1786 Devd to John [?] Ball & Son  I think shoulds be Joseph Ball and this maybe her will that leaves to  Timothy and Joseph

Polydore Colebatch  son of REV Timothy  Colebatch Survived Timy Ball but was never actually Seised & died without issue

Tim. Ball died Intest. & sans Iss. but in Trin Ter 31.Geo. 3.d he levied a fine to himself in Fee  (not sure what that means though...)
