Christian(n)a Harry of St Austell
« on: Sunday 17 April 16 02:22 BST (UK) »
I am trying to discover what became of Christian(n)a Harry d/o John and Maria Harry.
I believe she was born C1850 St Austell and can be found with her parents in St Austell 1851.
Her father went to Brazil where he drowned.
In 1861 she is aged 10 living with her mother Maria in St Austell although the surname may have been transcribed as Harris rather than Harry.
Her mother Maria remarried ( twice) , but I do not know what became of Christian(n)a.

It is possible that she was imprisoned following a trial 17 Oct 1865 but I cannot be sure that was her.

I would appreciate help in tracking her down.

Thank you.
That sounds as though it would be her.
I will now try to find her in 1871.
Do you think the owner of the goods was Best.
I wonder if there was a newspaper report ?

The owner of the goods was Richard Best (Rd. Best).

I'm not seeing her in 1871?
Maybe she was transported or emigrated?

Thanks again.
I can't see 1871 but she may not have returned home.

There's a burial for Christiana Ann Harry 11 Jan 1870 at Pendeen - can't spot the registration though.  Not her . The registration specifies 0 years old.
