A Challenge! Mary Hall & John Jowett marriage bond 1756
« on: Saturday 23 April 16 04:17 BST (UK) »
A difficult one before that has been a challenge for some time and I am having another tilt at it.

Trying to locate the parents/baptisms.

John Jowett & Mary Hall are my 5th great grandparents.  I have a copy of their marriage bond dated 25 May 1756 in which John Jowett a bachelor is said to be 28 and above, a Currier of St Sampson and Mary Hall a Spinster who is said to be 28 and above of the parish of St Cuthbert with the marriage to occur at St Cuthbert.

That is the sum total other than the witness of Rob. Jubb [?] Public Notary.

Allowing for the 28 as the beginning of their possible age means they may have been born around 1728.

Any assistance will be welcomed and appreciated :)
