Census time in the Isle of Man, too!
But very little information to enter. And only 3 pages - 1 for type of dwelling, and 2 pages per individual.

I don't think we're having one in England? I haven't heard anything about it anyway!

You're not!

The Isle of Man (where I am) has an interim census between the usual 10 year census.
It's not as comprehensive.

I gather that the next England and Wales one won't be until 2021:

By which time the 1921 Census should be available!

They were talking about not doing anymore censuses in the UK ,as all the info they gather from it can be obtained by other means. Not sure what was decided for sure now though.

The United Kingdom has its Census in years ending in 1.
Ireland has it's Census in years ending with 6 since we missed having a census in 1921 due to the War of Independence which was happening at the time, we didn't have a census until 1926 so it's every 10 years since than, hence we had one this year.

Quoting from IOM Today:

The Isle of Man has held a full census every 10 years since 1821. In addition, since 1996 a shorter interim census has been carried out at the halfway point between the full censuses. The results, including an accurate count of the island’s population, are used to help government, local authorities and businesses plan services for the future.
