I've had an email from the thatcham historical society, who said as far as they know, all of thatcham cemetery is unconsecrated until burial. They're going to email me more information tonight. Will let you all know what they say

Hi

I have just come across the same thing for a relative buried in Shaw Cemetery.  My first thought was suicide, but that didn't ring true...but now I'm thinking that maybe it is because they were Wesleyan Methodists, after reading on Wikipedia about the cemetery in question.
