Jack H Mason Death Wells 3/1968

Jack was born 1921 at Shepton Mallet. his death is registered as Wells 3/1968. Age is shown as 66 but I think this may be a typo. I believe he lived in Bristol and may have been in a mental hospital in Wells. Has anyone access to local papers that might have death notices etc? Wife was Phyllis

For some reason the 1902 birth didn't show on Freebmd but does on Familysearch thus ruling him out as the Jack I'm after, Still looking for death of Jack, b 1921 Shepton Mallet, thought to have died Bristol area in the 70s-80s

there is a marriage to a Phyllis  in 1944 Exeter that would fit.

If you are looking at the Jack who married in Bristol in 1949 to a Phyllis he does have middle name, he was possibly bn 1931 Bristol so married young.

Thanks, Mason/Shugar is the right one although just to confuse things he married a Phyllis post war too,  not sure when or where  but always thought it would late 1945 onwards as he was in Burma with the Chindits. He lost contact with the family due to what we now know as PTSD shortly after his return from Burma.

If it was the Shugar birth then the 1944 Exeter marriage would fit, also the Exeter death and this
