I wonder if William in 1834 is the same William as I  found in 1861, if so where does Sarah Taylor fit in . He was 43 so born c 1819, surely he can`t be he same one. He would only be 15, rather young to be a chemist
Why does William say his father is William Francis at his marriage ? Could 1861 William be Richard Taylors grandson.
Confusing .

1834 Dr. William Francis, a chemist and the illegitmate son of Richard Taylor, begins work with his father
1852 William Francis becomes a partner and the company is named Taylor & Francis.

Hi
I can see William Francis in 5th Nov 1827 when he is sent to Southwark Grammer School by his father William Francis compositor address Printing house lane .

You probably have the  non-conformist birth William Francis 16.2.1817 as well from the Dr Williams library to William Francis of Clerkenwell and Frances Marshall d of Richard Marshall of Adele Hill clerk born at no4 Pitt St St Pancras house of John Reeves. wit mother and Hannah Miles and Aunt Mary Crisold.Declaration 13.6.1837.

Like you no luck 1841/1851.

ps possible baptism for Frances Marshall 20. 6. 1792 to a Richard and Elizabeth at St Andrew Holborn

Sarah Taylor was Richard Taylor's daughter and appears with him in the 1841 and 1851 censuses. She is also an executor of his will in 1859 along with William Francis.

Thanks both. Since I posted I found a book, it appears William was in Germany for 1841.
His father was actually  Richard Taylor, but still not found a baptism.
I`ve not worked out yet about Rebecca Francis also mentioned in this book.
It`s very interesting.

Thanks, got him in 1851 now. It`s quite a mix of neighbours he`s got around him.

He died in 1904, I can only see part of the obit, is it like that or am I missing something. Parhaps there`s a full version somewhere on line.
