Help I can't make out the occupation of Thomas Clifton here;
HO107 232 bk13 fo 3 p 1 last but one entry on the page
Please can anyone help

If I've got the right person, it's Thomas Clifton aged 40 in Devon, though I can't decipher his occupation, yet.
Dinsdale, Ellis, Gee, Goldsmith,Green,Hawks,Holmes,  Lacey, Longhorn, Pickersgill, Quantrill,Tuthill, Tuttle & Walker,  in E & W Yorks, Lincs, Norfolk & Suffolk. Census information is Crown Copyright from www.nationalarchives.gov.uk

same problem as i have Bee is it manager  ?house or casriages horses looks like the first word ends es (wish they'd get on with my cataract op my eyes are getting worse and worse)

Good old filly dogs! :) nice to cross paths again :)

Added 1850 white's directory mentions manganese in Lifton so that fits together well
