McCaffery/Kane in Clogher or Errigal Keerogue Parish
« on: Saturday 07 May 16 06:21 BST (UK) »
I am trying to find if there is any record of  a Roman Catholic marriage between Terence McCaffery and Eliza Kane probably in the 1840s, also if a member of either of these families married a Turbitt.
All these families were found in the vicinity of Clogher and Ballygawley.

Yes, 22 November 1846, but in St. Patrick's Belfast, not Co. Tyrone, witnessed by Felix McDonnell and Mary Gamble, no other information available.

Give a man a record and you feed him for a day.
Teach a man to research, and you feed him for a lifetime.

Thanks for both these very helpful replies which have put me on track. Terence and Eliza McCaffery emigrated to New York in the 1850s.
I am still trying to establish the connection of these families with Turbitts, probably in County Tyrone before 1850.
