SANDON/STANDON Births

Folks,
Looking for some local knowledge and expertise.
I have William Henry Isaac(father James) marrying Rebecca Beeby(nee Smith b Stanground 1829) in Farcet,Huntingdonshire in 1874 and the couple are living in Farcet in 1881 census.William is aged 30 born Standon, and i thought i had his birth sorted until i became aware of Sandon(Hitchin Reg Dist) and Standon(Ware Reg Dist).
In 1861 i have found James Isaacs b 1818 Standon with son William b 1850 Thurbridge?? but not sure if this is my man.William is a very distant relative so not critical but want to record him correctly.

So it looks like he was born in Standon.

I had that one pencilled in,the two parishes within 8 miles threw me.

A bit late now, but your mention of Thurbridge in your first post - I think that is probably Thundridge, which is between Standon and Ware.

Placenames can be tricky - as I found when I discovered there were two Woodmancotes in Gloucestershire!
