Bessie Hansford nee Higgins
« on: Friday 13 May 16 19:42 BST (UK) »
Bessie Higgins married Robert W Hansford in 1914. At various times they lived at Trent Mill, Trent, Gussage St Michael and White Lackington nr Piddleheinton. She was buried in an unmarked grave in Piddleheinton in 1942. I would like to visit her Gussage St Michael and White Lackington properties. I would be grateful for any help to discover those addresses.

Many thanks

Mark

The only way of finding her address in 1914 is by buying a copy of her marriage cert.

Have you looked for her on the 1939 register to see where she was living at that time?

Did Robert pre-decease her?  Have you checked to see if he left a will ?

Hi Carole,

Many thanks.I know in 1914 they lived with her father at Trent Mill. Robert then went to war. Later after her father's death they moved at least twice. After Bessie's death Robert re- married and move to Somerset. I couldn't find Bessie or Robert in the 1939 register.

Thanks

Mark

Very many thanks and that help with the timing. My dad born 1929 visited them in Gussage St Michael as a  boy. They stayed on longer at the mill than I had thought.
