What happened to Philip Bright?
« on: Friday 13 May 16 21:03 BST (UK) »
Hi,
Philip Charles Bright son of William Bright (Stonemason) and his wife Mary was born 10 Apr 1846 in Dawlish and baptised 25 Apr 1846 also in Dawlish.  He is not with the family on 1851 census (now living in Lambeth, Surrey) but I can't find him anywhere else and can't find a death either.  He is not the Philip Bright who died in Crediton district April 1847 (that one was 72 years old).
Does anyone have any ideas
please?

check the extended family (grandparents, aunts/uncles)

He isn't with his uncle or grandmother in Barnstaple, maternal Grandmother and her husband can't be identified on 1841 or 51 (may have died before then).  I am only aware of one other aunt, I'll try to find her.
The death in Crediton was aged 72.
Using both Philip and Charles there are 7 deaths left that I haven't been able to eliminate.  I wish they had listed ages in the GRO index back then.
Should I have posted this on England rather than Devon?

Yes I think I will have to get this cert.  Was hoping to find a burial reference for this death to check age but nothing comes up on Anc, or Deceasedonline , have also looked on some other sites.
