Census Lookup request 1901
« on: Sunday 15 May 16 16:06 BST (UK) »
Hi, new to Roots Chat and have been on ancestry.co.uk and am struggling to find
a Robert Pierce, born around 1878 +/- 2 year, in llanrug, have found him in 1881 and 1891 with mother Jennet/Janet who died in 1899, then he seems to disappear in 1901 and 1911, then he marries a Maggie B, Jones in Pwllheli in 1915. any help would be most appreciated. Best regards
:)

We cannot do lookups on the 1911 census but if your man was a domestic chauffer he is there in the Thomas household in the parish of LLanrug (although place of birth is slightly different)

Hope you can find it from that
James Stott c1775-1850. James was born in Yorkshire but where? He was a stonemason and married Elizabeth Archer (nee Nicholson) in 1794 at Ripon. They lived thereafter in Masham. If anyone has any suggestions or leads as to his birthplace I would be interested to know. I have searched for it for years without success. Thank you.

This is how they are transcribed in 1901

Name   Age
Robert Pince   24
Elizabeth J Pince   22
Thomas Jones   15

the fact that he is a coachman domestic seems to confirm the 1911 is correct too

Hi Big g, that's amazing, nice to meet you  :), I'm looking forward to doing some leg work on the family next time I'm in Wales. Do you happen to know who she married as he seams to have been and died at sea from what I can see. X
Best wishes
Jaidan
