Roderick Fraser/Margaret Haggart?
« on: Tuesday 17 May 16 00:11 BST (UK) »
Hello,

Could anyone help me find any information on the marriage/family of Roderick Fraser in Stirling?

I know that his son Alexander was baptised on the 10th April 1791 in Stirling, his son with a Margaret Haggart. I cannot find any other information on him or anything else on the family aside from the fact that his son moved to Manchester, Lancashire and died there.

The man may have moved to manchester himself, but I have no proof of that and it is purely conjecture at this point.

Thanks in advance,
Joel

Alexander Fraser seems to be the only son of Roderick & Margaret but there were a number of births elsewhere in Scotland with the father named as Roderick.

There is the following transcription on Anc. I presume their names were given at each parish. There are a number of possible births for the name Halket but only one for Hagart as it is noted on Alexander’s birth record.

Roderick Fraser to Margaret Halket
5 Dec 1789   Kincardine By Doune,Perth,Scotland
6 Dec 1789   Saint Ninians,Stirling,Scotland

Might be worth checking on Scotlands People it would appear to be there.
