You may like to visit the Stradbroke Archive site. http://stradbrokearchive.org.uk/

Stradbroke has a number of Greens round the village. There were 3 mills of which none survive today. However Skinners Mill, although (the actual mill) destroyed by the air traffic of WW2, still survives as a business producing animal feed. There are photographs of Coles Mill and Skinners Mill in the archive but as yet none of Farrows Mill. To see the footprint of the Farrows site visit Google maps and search Stradbroke, Eye IP21 5NE. There is a circle of hedge which we believe from older maps to be the site of the third mill. The archive has a report that in 1890 John Farrow, miller of Stradbroke was bankrupt. There is also a headstone in the churchyard to Sarah and John Farrow dd 1830. - sadly in poor condition.
