Where to find landlord (of Property) Records?
« on: Sunday 22 May 16 13:35 BST (UK) »
One of my relatives was living in a rented cottage in stockcross and his landlord was the landlord of the Sportsmans Hall. Would there be any records anywhere of the properties he owned?

England didn't get round to any sort of formal reccord of land ownership until the 1960s. Before that it was all down to deeds - most of which have not survived. The BRO has many deeds (of various forms) but only a small fraction of what must have existed at one time- worth checking with them but don't get your hopes up.
