Not everything can be done on the internet.

There are no scans of Bedfordshire parish registers on the internet. John and I generally work from the transcripts  of the parish registers available to purchase from Beds FHS, but unfortunately these don't include marriage witnesses. Freereg also don't appear to transcribe marriage witnesses either. For that detail you need to view the parish register microfilm, available at Bedford Archives who also run a research service (reasonably priced) for people like us who live across the Channel, or you can order and view the microfilm from your nearest LDS Family History Centre of which there are many in France. The three options are therefore, in increasing cost order:
 - pay the Archives, less than a tenner, to research for you
- drive to your LDS FHC and pay the few euros to hire the microfilm
- fly to England and get to Bedford to view the microfilm

The witnesses may be the only evidence linking Jane to Northill.

Haha, I like your options! The one to pay the archives sounds the most plausible, during my summer break I might make a list of things I would like looking into and then send in a request  :)

Might also investigate where the closest LDS centre is from here...
