Ralph Bowring/Bowering family
« on: Wednesday 01 June 16 12:23 BST (UK) »
Hello,

I'm looking for the baptism of Ralph Bowring/Bowering. He married Jane Holdroyd in Lincolnshire on 2nd February 1746 - the notes say 'RB (Lin) St Mark/ JH (Lin) St Peter in Eastgate' (which I'm presuming mean that Ralph Bowring -RB- is of Lincoln).

The only baptism for Ralph 'Bowering' I can find is in Derbyshire however - 25 Mar 1715 at Sudbury, son of Ralph and Sarah.

Once again, help confirming this baptism or finding others for Ralph will be greatly appreciated.

The parishes quoted are those in which the banns were called - the parish in which each person was living at the time.

There is no reference to where a person was born.

Thanks KGarrad, I was aware that it referred to where they were at the time instead of where they were born, but I just expected somewhere a little closer to Lincoln ???
