Hi dinkey,
I have found more records.
Did Henry and Jane only have 3 children?
I found 6 then one death of a child aged 3.

Hi Maggsie

I am confused now.

You state that Henry's father was Dudley Joynt and yet on Jane's 2nd marriage to William Pixton in Manchester she gives her father as Dudley Joynt

Where did you find a marriage of a Henry Joynt and Jane  Keane, in 1844 ( I note the name is shown as Joint)
also, where did you find all the children born to this Henry & Jane?

If you still have the docs. can you post details on here

Thanks

dinkey

Hi,
I have found this with second marriages, when asked the bride what was your fathers name they give the father of the man they married previously.
My in laws cousin was so excited at the birth of his son he was asked the Mothers maiden name and gave his Mothers name, it was just by chance I thought  mmm I wonder!
Joint Joynt  written how it sounds.
You may not know but school wasn't allowed.
The rootsireland site is where I get these records. Then I check with family search then Ancestry.
They don't all have the same info. Depends on who typed it in!
I will send on the info to you.

thanks for that information ShaunJ

I am keeping that in mind as Henry's parents. Still puzzled as why Jane when she married her second husband William Pixton that she gave her father's name as Dudley Joynt.

I have emailed Carol Lee the owner of the website http://www.joynthistory.com/index.html

hopefully, she can shed more light on the correct details regarding Henry Joynt and Jane Joynt

Hi Hallmark

Ernest was the son of Henry born 1848 who was the son of Henry & Jane.

I think the Letty you found belongs to a different Henry, the family I am looking for came from Crossmalina.

Thanks for looking these up for me
