I apologise if this question has been asked but what is the meaning of the red star beside a persons name?
This is the first time I have seen it whilst searching for names.

Her surname is Bartle and 1919 was her birth year. Schedule 124 ,Schedule sub number 3. Cornwall.
A person 3 rows from her has the same mark.

Maybe she was being marked for being called up as a young single woman  when they introduced the call-up of women for War related Service?

She is called Olive J Beare  and she is married. A married male 3 rows below has the same mark.
