I just thought it was worth a shot enquiringly as the names could easily be mistaken for each other as the capital W & H could have looked so similar in badly photographed registers - sorry to break into your topic but in this hobby it pays to investigate the remotest of leads just in case it proves to be of help.

That's ok, I know what you mean.  Even when the registers are clear, they can have the wrong names too,  I've discovered when I've purchased certificates from the GRO.  Father's names being Edmund when it should have been Edward and vise versa.  Mother's name is correct though!
That's the peril of transcriptions.  It's a pity they didn't have a rule that all names should be in Capitals.
