Catherine Glynn
« on: Thursday 09 June 16 04:08 BST (UK) »
Hi

I am looking for a girl who emigrated to Australia in 1853 Her name is recorded as Catherine Glynn from Clare, she came on the Credenda. Aged 18 (1853)
Her marriage certificate in Australia (1854) says Gort, Ireland. Aged 22 she married Michiel/Magiel Renes.
The other anomaly is that on the wedding certificate is that she signed her name as Catherine Kennedy and then crossed it out and added Glynn. She cites her Father as Patrick Glynn and her mother Bridget Parker.
I haven't been able to find anything.  ???
Does anyone have any ideas?

Thank you

Julie

Ok looks like another dead end. Perhaps she came from another county.

Does anyone have information on Patrick Glynn who married a Bridgit Parker?
Supposed parents of Catherine

thanks

Julie

Registers start too late IF they were RC's....  https://registers.nli.ie/parishes/0623

You can search for mother's there too... Images will be online "sometime soon"

Hi,
In the Tithe records there is  Patt Glynn in .....
Poulroc (townland) Kilkeedy (Parish) County Clare this was in 1842.
This place is just south of Gort.
