Dorothy Maud Edith Westcott/Wall

Any information about the early life of Dorothy Maud Edith Westcott/Wall born in 1910 in Gillingham would be much appreciated. I know nothing about her childhood and what happened to her when her mother, Fanny Westcott, died about 1921. I know she had a brother, David born in 1913 and that her father, Frank Wall, was in the Royal Navy. 
Dorothy was my mother-in-law and I have found out from the 1939 Register that she was working at the Savoy Hotel, London and married Charles H Gower in 1941. Also she was in Jersey Channel Islands by 1947 and married again in 1950.Would love to know why she chose to go there and what happened to her first marriage.

A Charles Henry Gower b 1909 died 1992 so if he is the same person - they must have divorced

The 1901 for Kent shows Christopher M Westcott 25 b Guernsey occ commercial clerk and Fanny 25 b Hounslow.  They had 3wk old twin daughters Annie F and Sylvia L born New Brompton Kent

Dorothy was born with her mother's married name Westcott but baptised Wall as her father was Frank Wall. It appears her mother and father did not marry, maybe because her mother's was still married to Christopher
Westcott.
Dorothy's first husband was Charles Harold Gower.

Do either her birth or marriage certs show Frank Wall as her father?  She married as Westcott - not Wall
