GILBERT of Coleford area

hello Troops,
 looking at making a connection with the Gilberts of Colford to my Gilbert line at Shirehampton.
I have been given the name Richard Gilbert who married Mary [Unknown]. They had a son William Gilbert born 27.6.1752 in the parish of Newland.

Sadly no connections achieved.

However there  is a good chance that the  migration of the Shirehampton Gilberts came from Herefordshire thru the Forest of Dean to Shirehampton. This link has been provided by a DNA link to Cecil and Howells of Herefordshire and nearby Wales.
