Could you give us the dates and if possible the name and date of birth of the person you are interested in.

Could you confirm that your Henry Moseley was born in London on 5/Feb/1832 and was a Fisherman who fished from Barking.

I found a copy of his seaman's ticket number 391913 on FindMyPast. He first went to sea as a fishing boy in 1847 and was issued with his seaman's ticket on 2/Mar/1848
He has no recorded voyages from 1848-1854. This is not uncommon for fishermen. Their trade was casual and he probably worked on several different fishing Smacks over this period.

Your best bet is to get in touch with Barking Archives.

Contacting Essex Records Office may also be useful.
