Ok, after tech. advice from Jim, and assistance from Handypandy, who got the image size back to the required 500kb after I had the tricky scan done, (thank you both) I'm now able to post the mould damaged wedding photo of my Mum and Dad, Jessie and Robert Mathews, for which I am now requesting a restoration. I'm also posting a crop of my Mum's headpiece, taken from another photo, as there's not much left of it on the big photo, and so you can get a better idea of how it was before I ruined it by trying to wipe the mould off! Silly ass I am!
I like the black and white, but I'd also be really happy to see what you do with a colour version. To that end, I have copied the relevant details from the newspaper clipping, which was in our local paper a couple of weeks after the wedding.

Extract from Mum & Dad's Wedding Notice From the Hutt News, Lower Hutt NZ
Married 14th August, 1937.
"The bride, who entered the church with her father, wore a gown of magnolia satin cut on empire lines, with a fan-shaped train. The high neck-line was finished with orange blossom, and the sleeves were pleated at the top, tapering to a point on the hand. The sleeves and back were finished with small satin buttons. The embroidered tulle veil was arranged from a halo of pearls and orange blossom, and formed a second train.
Her bouquet was of pink carnations, cyclamen and maiden hair fern. Her sister Mary attended her, wearing a silver tinsel crepe frock, cut on princess lines, with a large bow at the back, a Juliet cap and silver shoes. She carried a bouquet similar to that of the bride".
Thank you so much, I know you'll do my parents proud, and I'm really looking forward to seeing the results!
Now after all that preamble, and Andy's hard work, I still can't get them to load, although they're under regulation size. I will keep trying!
