Peter INGLIS and mother, Mary from Scotland to Canada in 1926

Hi All,

I was able to find a shipping record (UK Outward Passenger Lists 1890 - 1960) for Peter Inglis aged 20, an engineer and his mother Mary Inglis (nee Young) aged 43, both of 56 Hamilton St Wishaw, Lanarkshire travelling on board S.S. Letitia sailing from Glasgow 15 May 1926 bound for Quebec and Montreal.  Peter was born 04 Jun 1905  in Cambusnethan, Lanarkshire, son of Robert Inglis and Mary Greenshields Young who married in March of the same year. 

I had a quick look for Peter and Mary Inglis returning to the UK without success so I was hopeful that someone might be able to tell me where they ended up in Canada.

Mary, age 43 and Peter age 20 on the Letitia arrived May 25, 1926. William Inglis, age 16 arrived on April 25 and Elizabeth Inglis age 19 arrived on the same ship but on Oct. 10, 1926. There are 22 Inglis family members arriving in 1926; 20 from Scotland. Not sure if they are all your family.  You can check them out here:

Not sure there's any relationship to the other Inglis passengers but will follow up on that.  Inglis is a fairly common name in Scotland!  Just rapt to find Peter and Mary.

Could someone please steer me in the right direction to find an obituary...it might help me to establish what family Peter and Helen (nee Cameron) had.

and third from the top, page 291, scroll right to page 2.
Going to husband and father, Robert Inglis, 1523 Queenberry Ave., N. Vancouver, nearest
relative from whence you came, father Mr. James Young, Wooden Cottage, ??, Wishaw.
