If you have not already done so a look at the British Newspaper Archive would be worthwhile as there are a lot of hits for John More Smieton, almost all in Angus (Forfarshire). Dundee Courier 26 Jan 1927 has an article about James Smieton a Dundee merchant's death intestate. It states that Mrs Maud Isolde Smieton  or Sanderson ,Tyndrum, Bayley's Hill, Sevenoaks and Miss Pearl More Smieton, Ardshiel, Kippington Sevenoaks had lodged a petition to decern them executrices dative qua of James Smeaton  12 Victoria Chambers, Dundee. Pursuers  it goes on, are two of the daughters of the late John More Smeaton sometime merchant, 12 Victoria Chambers, brother of the deceased.

One article from Oct 1911 does refer to Mrs John More Smieton at St Salvador's Grand Bazaar in Dundee.

There is also a detailed obituary for J More Smieton Dundee Evening Telegraph 14 July 1904.

Thank you for all your help.

Maude was in Scotland in 1911 until 1914 when she joined the Scottish women's hospital. She went out to France until the end of WW1. She then went on to work at the B.E.L.C in Koln. Later in 1922 she married her cousin Harold Sanderson. Her birthday was in fact 27 January 1892. She wrote it down in a book of poems she wrote, while serving in WW1.One was about her birthday.

I will follow up about her father and mother wills/Letter of Admin. and be reading a lot of newspapers too. Many Thanks again.

If they sought to be executrices dative, this spcifically means that he did not leave a will.

Just didn't want you to spend money for it and not get what you expected. Good luck!

Thank you so much, that was kind of you. Although I have traced Maude death on 11 Feb 1974 in Bath, I can not find a death for Pearl. All I know if that she was alive at the time of her Mother's death in 1941. I will be buy some credits for Scottish people soon, but I am trying English records first to see if she turns up theren as she was living in Sevenoaks.
Thanks again for all your help.
