Hoynes/Nolan
« on: Tuesday 21 June 16 18:57 BST (UK) »
Hi everyone!!

I'm attacking one of my branches from Co. Laois. I'm looking for any relatives of my great-great-great grandparents, William Hoynes & Mary Nolan who were married 26 January 1858 in Clonmore, Borris-in-Ossory. They had 9 children: Catherine Hoynes 13 January 1859, Daniel 26 April 1861, Patrick 9 September 1863, Laurence 28 April 1866, Mary 24 May 1868, Kyran 6 June 1870, William 6 March 1874, Mary 17 July 1876 (my great-great grandmother - have traced her down to me) and Julia 1 August 1879.

Would love to find someone with connections to this family.

Annie
The surnames, which I am interested in are; Maternal side: Ryan, Kevin, Grant, Grady, Gleeson, Walsh, Dwyer, Paternal side: O' Dwyer, Woodlock, Rochford & Britton - all in Tipperary; and Kelly and Hoynes in Laois.

Ryan, Campbell, Luttrell, Grant, Grahame, Bainbridge and Brown in Queensland, Australia

Tighe in Victoria, Australia.

Grant in Philadelphia, Sullivan and Penny in New York; and Britton in Connecticut

I think that this could be the youngest Julia in 1911 but I cannot see a HOYNES/KELLY marriage - LINK
My reasoning is that Daniel is on Prison records as being drunk in 1910 and gives his sister as his next of kin; his place of birth is given as Clonmore and aged 50

Otherwise the family seem illusive in the records!

Kearney & Bourke/ Johns & Fox/ Mannion & Finan/ Donohoe & Curley
Byrne [Carthy], Keeffe/ Germaine, Butler/ McDermott, Giblin/ Lally, Dolan
Toole, Doran; Dowling, Grogan/ Reilly, Burke; Warren, Kidd [Lawless]/ Smith, Scally; Mangan, Rodgers/ Fahy, Calday; Staunton, Miller
Further generations:
Brophy Coleman Eathorn(e) Fahy Fitzpatrick Geraghty Haverty Keane Keogh Nowlan Rowe Walder
