Missing burial record
« on: Wednesday 22 June 16 12:00 BST (UK) »
I am trying to trace the burial record for William Henry LEAK.
Born Leeds 1851, died Leeds 1944.
His first wife, Margaret Ann, died Leeds 1890, & their 4 month old Son, William, died 1890, are buried at Beckett Street Cemetery Leeds.
William's parents - Samuel & Rebecca - are also buried at Beckett Street but I can not find a burial record for William Henry.
If anyone can help me solve this mystery I will be most grateful.
Thanks

According to the online database at Yorkshire Indexers (http://www.yorkshireindexers.info/forum/forum.php) he was buried at Harehills Cemetery. In the same grave is an Annie Leak, who died in 1936 aged 82. The database record for Annie includes a photo of the headstone, which confirms that she was his wife (presumably his 2nd), but as this is part of the subscription database I'm not sure whether I'm at liberty to tell you much more - and if I posted a link it probably wouldn't work.

On the other hand, subscriptions there aren't very expensive...

Hello Arthur
Thanks for your help.
That information is really useful.
You are quite right, Annie is his second wife.
I have also had a look at the Yorkshire Indexers site; it looks good so I think I will join, but I can't see anything on there about subscriptions?

In the menu just below the title logo click Online Records, then the smaller menu just below changes to show different options. Click on Subscription Database, and Obtain Subscription is at the bottom of the dropdown menu.
