in 1911 the mother indicates 12 children born 6 living 6 died - all the living have been accounted for, four of the six deceased are accounted for - only Jane Eleanor and an unknown child remain unaccounted for! I was guessing Jane had died as no trace of a marriage or a census entry for sure by 1891.

Where were her parent's living in 1891, as presumably if she died between the two censuses it is likely to be there? Surprising how many Jane Eleanor or Jane E Jones there were of about the right age! Although there is also the chance that she did marry before 1891 but died under her married name before 1911!

The family are on the same street 1881-1891 census's.

One daughter died 1889 and is in the family grave with her parents.

Wrexham cemetery burials are online ( opened 1876) and she does appear in 1881 census, so would have thought she would have been buried there if she was a child.

That's a shame. Well at least that's one of the list ( there are lots of Jane E's around though .)

Can a search of the 1939 register be done using just forenames and DoB ? May narrow it down a little.

I tried death indexes using that option, also had a look incase she left the country like William Henry.

A Jones marrying a Jones.  :-\

William Henry marrying a Smith, your family aren't making it easy are they :)

Out of curiosity I checked my tree last night knowing my Gt Aunt and her husband moved to Wales from Lancashire. Had a bit of a twilight moment when I realised they had both died and raised their family in Wrexham - just shows how little attention I've paid to my ancestors. :-\

Oh well, we will keep looking

Onwards and upwards, we found William - we will find Jane and Herbert, I'm sure :)

I think her husband (my family) was a policeman if I remember correctly. I bet there are still family there. I couldn't believe it really after all the time this week looking into Wrexham.
