Hynes - Meara
« on: Sunday 26 June 16 20:50 BST (UK) »
Hello....

Just wondering if anyone on here has Julia Hynes & Thomas Meara in their tree? Married in 1910 in the Parish Church in Clonmore, Co. Tipperary. Had one son, Thomas in 1911 but can't find them on census.

Cheers,
Annie
The surnames, which I am interested in are; Maternal side: Ryan, Kevin, Grant, Grady, Gleeson, Walsh, Dwyer, Paternal side: O' Dwyer, Woodlock, Rochford & Britton - all in Tipperary; and Kelly and Hoynes in Laois.

Ryan, Campbell, Luttrell, Grant, Grahame, Bainbridge and Brown in Queensland, Australia

Tighe in Victoria, Australia.

Grant in Philadelphia, Sullivan and Penny in New York; and Britton in Connecticut

Might have been born the day after Census...

Clonmore is just near the Laois border  :) Julia was born 1 August 1879 in Clonmore to William Hoynes/Hynes & Mary Nolan

The census referred to by Heywood looks very promising as Julia states born in Queens county. Have you got birth cert for son as it would give place of birth and may match up.

Son, Thomas Meara born 8 October 1911 in Aughallmore, Templemore. Parents Thomas Meara & Julia Hynes. On their marriage record from rootsireland.ie, it states that Julia is from Errill, about 5 minutes from Clonmore and Thomas from Castleliney. It's them two that I am trying to find on the 1911 census as I'm aware the son wouldn't be on it, as he was born in October of that year.
