It might be worth posting this photo on the photo restoration board to see if anyone can enhance the noticeboard to the right.  It might have details about the church/building.

The United Reform Church wasn't formed until 1972 when most of the Congregational and Presbyterian Churches amalgamated.  So the 'ted' must be something else.

I have tried to enhance the notice board  with no luck,
I have also asked the owner for another scan at a higher resolution, he said he doesn't how to do that, & I am lucky he managed to the do the one I got, :-\

Does his local library have a scanner? - they might be able to help him scan the photo at a high resolution.
