Did any see the soldiers portrayed yesterday, throughout UK, renacting lives of those lost in the Somme .please tell me your thoughts and feelings

I would have been in tears if I had seen any of them at a main line rail station.

does bring a lump to the old throat that youngsters can be bothered to remember there courage and sacrifice for all of us , god bless em .

Yes I saw them in Manchester. All young men - similar ages to those who fought. It may have been the same group who moved around the city but they were in St Anne's Square.
We then watched the commemoration parade which had representatives from all the armed forces, plus Police and  Fire service, British Legion, Cadets, Brownies , relatives and other members of the community.
There was piped music around the Town Hall Square - Pomp and Circumstance when I walked through.
It was very emotional.

The group of men were also in Doncaster, it was truly emotional.
