Photo request for Morton Cemetery, Keighley - WW1 Soldier
« on: Monday 04 July 16 13:52 BST (UK) »
Hi
I am from Australia & researching as many Australia Soldiers as possible from WW1 who died and are buried in the UK for this website   http://ww1austburialsuk.weebly.com/

I am currently researching Pte Ernest Augustus Mowbray Michael who was buried in Morton Cemetery & was wondering if someone could take  a photo of his headstone please ? I have a photo of his name on the Memorial but not his headstone.

Many thanks

Have you tried Find a Grave? He is mentioned on there and you can request a photograph.

Thanks for the suggestions but with almost 2,500 biographies to do - didn't want to purchase photos - it could get expensive.

I will try the request a photo from Find a Grave - but have seen requests on there go unanswered for years.

Was hoping that someone that lived nearby to the cemetery could take a photo of a WW1 AUstralian soldier

Kind regards
Cathy

Cathy I'm led to believe there's no individual headstones for the lads that lie in the cemetery from WW1 ,they are buried together in the plot and listed on the memorial as known to lie here.

Thank you Ady.
I was doing some more research yesterday & found that someone had posted something similar. Now that you have confirmed it - I will leave it as the photo of the Memorial with the names.
Thank you
