It's always useful, and helpful to others not to delete your posts.  The reason being that someone else who may be researching the same families as yourself, may come across your post, even years later, and be able to follow up, and possibly may even try to get in touch so that you can then share info.

Another very good reason, is that if you ever have a computer fail, or otherwise lose your info, you can always come back to Rootchat and find all your old posts, and any replies that you may have had, which would then enable you to recover lost information.

Rootschat is far too good a resource (for all sorts of things) for so many people, if we all deleted our posts, there wouldn't be this great community!
