Is this the death of John SCOTT?

Emma's death in WA gives her a birth year of 1881 and parents John and Mary Ann.  It looks like Emma and Arthur were John's children from his first marriage to Mary Ann JONES.

Emma born 1881, Arthur John born 1883, and Thomas born and died 1887.

Minnie would be Margaret born in WA in 1902, Sam who we can't find a registration for and Jack born in WA in 1903.  Margaret's twin Walter died soon after birth.

A Nellie I. SCOTT married to Robert J NEELANDS in 1913 and died the same year:

The death occurred at the Black Range Hospital on Friday night of Mrs Robt Neelands (nee Scott), of Montagu. Mrs Neelands, who was only 19 years of age, collapsed after giving birth to a child, which still lives. She was a bright young woman with a large circle of friends and her funeral on Sunday was largely attended.

I think that just leaves Annie's first child born 1883 to find?

thanks for all the replies to my enquiry.  I am trying to find the birth record for Samuel William Scott.  family records show he was born 8 mar 1892 in Ballarat.  I can find the birth records of all his siblings but not that of Samuel who is my ancestor.

Samuel's father was John Scott born in Buningyong 29 Sep 1857.  His siblings William, John, Annie, Anna Bella, James, Neil, Martha and David were all born in Buningyong between 1857 and 1865.

My problem is where do I go to find the birth records of these people when they are not shown in Vic BDM records.

I found Ann Kershaw's first and second marriage but I didn't find Samuel's first marriage.(oops, looks like it is his fathers first marriage)  These family records seem to have been censored or it was very difficult to find this information 20 years ago and stuff was missed.  Either way, thank you Sue

Just remember that not all children's births were registered.  Any of the later births should show all previous issue of the marriage.

Wonder if they baptised their children?  Parish records may be helpful.

As Cando has said you will have to try and find a baptism for Samuel as it does not look like his birth was registered.

So John SCOTT was the son of John SCOTT and Ann DIXON, is that correct?  I can see his siblings births in Victoria with mother's surname as DICKSON.

You should contact the Ballarat Genealogical Society and ask for a check of their church registers.

Susbla, could you confirm that you are saying that your Samuel isn't the one born in Ballarat from WA and of the WW1 record?

Samuel was the son of John SCOTT and Ann KERSHAW.  The notices you posted earlier for a William and Mary  are not for his family.
