helen hargreaves nee' beesting
« on: Thursday 07 July 16 13:35 BST (UK) »
Hi, trying to establish the possible burial place of my wifes ggrandmother. Born 1863 as Ellen Beesting the daughter of Jane, no father. She by 1889 had 2 children, again no father recorded. She then marries a Joseph Hargreaves in Stanley. Her burial record states "Burials in the parish of Stanley in the county of York 1920- cemetory- Helen Hargreaves, 57 Lee Moor, Stanley-August 13th - 54 years. Trying and wishing that there may be a burial headstone. Any help as to what cemetory in Stanley this may be would be great.

Thanks

John

A possible? From Deceased Online.

Stanley Cemetery - Lake Lock Road, Stanley, Wakefield

Opened in 1886, around 6,200 burials have taken place of which all records are available. Data includes grave references. Computerised records are provided for more recent entries.

In fact her burial is on that site and for a small price you can view details. It's under Ellen Hargreaves.

Hi Groom, thanks for the leads. Spoken with someone at Wakefield services who also was able to confirm the grave and burial details and 3 other people who are buried in that grave. They are going to establish for me as to whether there is a head stone or not.

Thanks

John
