Marriage lookup in St Albans or North Mymms

[Al in Vane]

Can anyone do a marriage lookup for Joseph Payne in possibly St Peters in St Albans but could be North Mimms (Mymms) which is where wife Elizabeth came from according to the 1841.
I believe it would be 1820 to 1825 period.
Any information would be much appreciated.

A broad search on Familysearch throws up Joseph Payne and Elizabeth Fletcher St Stephens Hertford

Thank you for that Mike, it does seem a little early to be honest as she would have been only 15 at the time and in 1841 just had four children all fifteen or younger. I think I can forget North Mymms now as other evidence now rules that out. I will alter heading.

Oops, I was looking at the Elizabeth fletcher born 1792, and assumed that the elder children had left home

In 1841 ages over 15 were rounded down so Elizabeth age 45 could mean birthday 1792 to 1796. Son Joseph 15 could be born 1822 to 1826.

Looking at the OP,s other post on this it seems that Joseph born 1825 married an Elizabeth and had a son Walter, confusingly this Joseph was himself the son of a Joseph and Elizabeth so I am not sure which generation we are looking for

You are correct Mike, the Joseph baptised on 16th January 1825 had parents Joseph and Elizabeth and it was the marriage of those parents that I am trying to find.
It slipped my mind about the rounding down of ages in the 1841 so that marriage in 1811 could well be right. I have the 1851 for the younger Joseph but not the elder Joseph which would give the ages more accurately and also the mothers birth place.

Having found another birth in 1822 it seems the 1811 marriage is correct after all so many thanks for your help, much appreciated.
