Harriett Kate Hawker

I have posted many threads on here before today with amazing information supplied by wonderful rootschatters. One of them concerned the possibility of a Hawker family member owning a boat building business on the River Avon at Eckington, c1950s/1960s.

Using my £1 month subscription to FindMyPast I found Harriett Kate Hawker, youngest sister of Alfred Theodore Hawker, my husband's grandfather. She married a Levi Sanders and their son, James Levi Sanders born 1912 was a boatyard proprietor of Pershore, Worcestershire.

Is this the missing link I was looking for? Can anyone throw any light on James Levi Sanders' early life?

Any nuggets of data would be happily received.

The family are on the 1939 register in Birmingham.

Thank you for all your help Groom. James Levi Sanders and his father Levi Sanders, Harriett Hawker's husband, were Engine Fitters (Travelling!) on the 1939 Register.

Rest assured, your "Brickwalls" will come tumbling down eventually, even if you wait several years!

I'd now like to find living relatives who could fill in a bit of the missing years for me.

For info it looks like Levi Sanders full name was Jesse Levi Sanders, going by electoral registers

James Levi Sanders died 24th July 1994, last address 2, Pensham Road, Perhore. Estate exceeded £125,000.

There is a marriage of a James Sanders in Pershore, September 1939 to a Frances Ellwood.  A possible child is born a year later in Worcester. I can't see any more in that area. It might be worth sending for the will.
