York/Yorkes Market Bosworth
« on: Tuesday 12 July 16 16:47 BST (UK) »
Hello :)

Now I am tidying up my Yorkes or attempting to whilst waiting for house decisions etc....

So
I have Samuel Yorke bn 1798 Shenton married Mary Dymock in 1823  have their deaths as:
Sam 1875 Mary 1872.. and that they have one Child Mary ( cannot find Mary Snr BIRTH)

Anyhow I am now attempting to sort the daughter Mary:

she was born Shenton/Market Bosworth 1826  --- then the 1841 seems to show her as being in Lichfield Street Market Bosworth and she is down as   '''''SP'''''?????
then I lose her...

found a possible marriage to a JOB Beamish...   but nothing else..

What I haven't done is check the Census where her parents are to see if she is nearby under a married name,  so will do that.

help would be great xx  bless you all

Xin

I think it is actually FS = female servant
Transcriptions and NBI are merely finding aids.  They are NOT a substitute for original record entries.

I agree with BB, it definitely looks like FS as in Female Servant.

Oooh, just found the children's baptisms, here's the interesting one

https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:JQ8M-52R

Name    Catharine Yorke Beamish
Gender    Female
Christening Date    14 Aug 1842
Christening Place    Bedworth, Warwick, England
Birth Date    13 Jul 1842
Father's Name    Job Beamish
Mother's Name    Mary Beamish

All census returns they are in Bulkington but was wondering if Job died in Leicester, there's a death registered 1894 and in the paper

21 July 1894 - Leicester Chronicle - Leicester
He is aged 77 of 3 Westbourne street, died 17th

Mary's age is up and down a bit with the census, so wondered if this was her death 1892
